Hell Yeah!!! Car is done.... sorta...
Well, with special thanks to my next door neighbor, my hot cam and Meziere install is complete!!! I still need to wire the Meziere as I completely forgot to order a relay for it. Either way, I did get to start the car last night for only a brief time and it just brought a to my face!!! It wasn't as lopey as I expected, in fact I don't think the tone changed at all from the stock cam... it just echos and resonates more. I still like it!!! Can't wait to get it tuned and on the road
Also wanted to shout a thanks to 96GS#007 and STL94LT1 for all the provided knowledge and assistance!!! You guys are the best!!!
Hmm.... Maybe since you didn't have the water pump wired you didn't let it run long enough to settle into an idle. If you're still running the stock idle speed and didn't notice a distinct lope with the Hot Cam, maybe you were short a few plugs wires previously

the lope will be even less pronounced once you get it tuned and bump up the idle. I like mine it's very streetable cam and it really seems to improve the midrange torque. also Painless makes a nice electric water pump wiring kit. I got mine through Summit.

I already ordered that very kit yesterday. They had 2 to choose from... a standard kit for $30 which seemed to be a very quality part, but they also had a "weather proof" kit for $60. After listening to Nathan's advice about the relay's and fuse link, I felt it in my best interest to buy the more expensive part.
And to address Nathan's comment... I do believe you are right. I didn't take into consideration that it was cold and idle was 900-950rpms. If I can find a way once the pump is wired, I want to post some sound clips and video of her. I'd be interested to see what people think of the AeroChambers installed in the stock exhaust. I think I may be the only one on this board that has them. I'll keep you all posted...

My lope actually got better after tuning or at least got more consistent. It does have kind of a different sound than other performance street cams. But still, a lot of people ask what what I've done to the car after they hear it idling. Comments like, "I knew it wasn't stock" and such. Looking forward to hearing more about your results.

what kind of exhaust do you have??? Mine doesn't sound anything like that!!! I wonder if I remembered to install the hotcam or if I accidentally stabbed the stock cam back into it
And trust me Mike... you didn't miss much. without the pump working the car couldn't run very long.

I'm running EM LT's , hi-flow Random Tech cats, and Corsa exhaust
I believe the Ed Wright chip that I bought when I first did my cam had a 950 RPM idle. You could notice the lope but you really had to listen for it. I then installed the flowmaster mufflers and it was more pronounced. Later I installed the long tube headers and it was more pronounced. Eventually I got the stuff to burn my own chips and I had full control of my idle speed. I've got it set up for 700 RPM's now and it sounds pretty mean.
I THINK at the time of this video it was actually set for 800 or 850, it is even more pronounced now.
And you're 100% positive that this is a Corsa cat back? As you know I've heard a million Corsa systems and I hate them all, this one for some reason though sounds pretty good. It doesn't have that dying farm tractor note that I'm used to hearing, I'm impressed.
