Think about this, on the steet, if you have traction control available and you have an accident and someone gets wind that you disabled it, how do you think the insurance companies and lawyers will treat that?
No way. Have you ever heard of anyone looking at that? I doubt it. They are not that smart. There is ZERO way to prove whether it functioned perfectly or not in an accident. That would imply it is illegal to do this which it is not. The ONLY thing that is illegal to remove (to my knowledge) would be emissions equipment.
Secondly, if they thought it was that important, it would be warrantied for an indefinite amount of time, which of course it is not.
AGAIN, THIS GUY IS ASKING FOR ADVICE ON HOW TO REMOVE THE SYSTEM NOT OPINIONS ON WHETHER HE SHOULD

The anti skid control on a 94 does three things to control skid--it retards timing, it applies brakes, and it locks up the gas pedal. Personally, I don't like it. I know my car and I know how to handle it. On dry pavement in straight line braking, I really question wether the pulsating brakes actually make you stop quicker. Have you ever firmly stepped on the brakes and you are stopping just fine, and then the ABS comes on and you learch forward and almost smack the guy in front of you?
One time, I was sitting at a red light waiting to turn right. The light turned green and I pulled out. Then this crazy guy in a truck ran the red light, swerved to miss another car, and was coming right for me. I really needed to move quick so I hit the gas and the stupid anit skid came on and locked my throttle. I was a sitting duck. It made a bad situation much worse. Fortunately the guy swerved off the road and missed me, but it was real close. Just my experiences.
In rare occurances seatbelts have been known to cause death too!!!
It is to easy to press the ASR button and remember that when you sell the car that mod my cost you $$$.
But if it annoys you that much and you are an A-type personality, disconnect the ASR cable from the throttle body.
