Default Need Radiator?

Its been unbearably hot here in Ohio this last week. Ive got both fans wired on all the time and in traffic the temp just keeps creeping up, (but I noticed this does not happen every time I drove it in this heat) When it gets to about 230 there is no stopping it unless you hit highway speeds. Water pump and thermostat are fairly new. Radiator cavity has been cleaned....I suspect that the 4-5 tube of alumaseal my dumba$$ previous owner brother used have finally gummed up the flow. If I gun it I can see the fluid level drop in the radiator but at idle there doesnt seem to be much visual flow. What do you guys think? If I should get a new radiator is it too much overkill to go with an aluminum? I would be willing to spend the money if I dont have to worry about overheating anymore.

Does your car still have the original radiator in it? If it does, I'd replace it. I replaced the radiator in my '85 and my car's temp is between 195 and 204 when the car's moving and doesn't get above 225 (fan comes on), even in traffic with the A/C running. I'd stay away from those expensive all-aluminum units, unless you've modded your engine heavily and it needs it. The stock unit will work fine. Enjoy your ride!
