I mounted the camera to the "camera mount" on the harness bar (you can see the mounting plate in the attached photo) with only the cameras rubber base between it and the steel plate.

Earlier this morning I started the car and placed a glass of water on the mount. I could see it shakes the heck out of it -- everything is going through the roll cage (not too surprising). I'm going to try buffering between the camera and the mount with a 1/2" piece of soft rubber. Hopefully that will take a of the shake out of it.

Another thing I think that is going on is chatter when the camera is recording to the DVD disk, like a micro skip. I wonder if this will be better if I record to a memory card????

89Sleeper -- Did you record to a memory card or disk? Your video is very stable.

I pulled the video. I tried to pass it through the encoder again, and that made it much worse.

I am by far no camera expert here but I think your DVD cam recorder is your problem I think!

Video test link

I used your PUTFILE.COM link.

The car is in high idle at the begining of the clip, then towards the end of clip is slows down.

Time to run out and try to get another road clip!!!!

I was able to to veiw this one perhaps your video clip file is too large mine is 7.63MB what is the size of your clip?
The one I made is almost to large it could have been edited and made smaller I also made a shorter version at 2.29 MB that I can send as an email attachment my 7.63 is to large for me to send via email it just is veiwed in a little smaller screen and I cut a little from the clip in the beginning!

That's one wicked sounding car. I can hear the supercharger whistle in that clip.

For those of us that don't want to deal with the PUTFile slow streaming.

Right click-save as here: http://x502.putfile.com/videos/22514000942.wmv

Sounds sweet man!
Now we need some vids of it in action!

Here is 89sleeper's too...

Also a sweet vid. You better be grinning ear to ear beneath what that rear-view mirror shows.
