I took a buddy for a ride yesterday and he kept saying how huge my 88 seemed compared to other sports cars he's been in.
I never thought c4s were all that big....aren't c5s and 911s actually a bit heavier and wider or longer?? I know the new c6 is tiny...
I was reading how the Ford GT-40 got its name. It was very low to the ground, 40” tall. So I measured my stock 94 coupe. The garage floor to roof it is about 47”.
I'm constantly amazed by how low to the ground my C4 actually is. I was passed by a Chrylser 300 this morning and my roof line is lower than that ****'s!

Height is really the only small dimension. Otherwise, mine fills up its half of the garage just as much as my wife's 4 door sedan does on the other side.

When I was selling my Nova with plans to buy a C4, my dad told me to measure my garage since the vette was so much longer. I argued it was an illusion since the car was so low.
Its an illusion, People usually say they are big in a last ditch effort to slam then. I usually find something they think is small like an eclipse or Stealth and park beside it and tell em to look at the wheels and height and that shuts em up.
Also if you ever try to detail another car at the level we do our vettes ( My family always has me do cars before they sell em or when they really want them nice) and you will appreciate just how small they are. Its seems even a thunderbird or an accord take twice as long to do right just due to acreage. ... and dont get me started on the avalanche I was asked to do...good lord pack a lunch.
