Ok, I had posted eariler about the road debrie that ripped off my front spoiler. It was not secured correctly. All it had was 3 screws holding it 1 on each side and 1 on a bracket from this narrow piece of plastic run across. I had notice this a few months back and it was on my list of things to fix. Well now it has moved up to the top of the list, since my vette looks like some knock out it's front tooth. Underneath that and behind it is what appears to be the front baffle, but there are no holes. I want to fix it correctly. I am ordering a new 3 piece kit front spoiler kit and the screw kit. My question, is there anything else that I need to order. Can someone post some pics on how it is screw on, some from underneath. Anything would help, please.
I took out my spoiler on a highway about a year and a half ago and did the replacement with a new screw kit and three piece spoiler. The installation is simple. What ever side you start on, jack up the front to give yourself a little more room. Start at one side, then do the middle and them the other side.
From removal to replacement should take about an hour.
What I am can't see on mine is where the center one bolts on to. Any ideas? It would seen to have 5 pre drilled holes for the screws to attach the front spoiler to, but there is nothing there.
It should look something like this when you are done.
My recollection is that the center section bolts up to a stamped piece that goes across under it. There is a center hanger, and the spoiler and stamping bolt up to the sides of the opening as well. The stamping has threaded holes, and there are five torx bolts down and a couple on each end. Hope this helps.
That's the pic that I need to see. Thanks Looks like I am missing the metal strip and the edge of my deflector has no holes in it. Now I can I go order the parts I need. Thank you everybody for you help
