Mechanic recommendations
I am looking for a good corvette mechanic/garage in the Indianapolis Indiana area. I have a 1993 roadster that is in need of an alignment. Put it’s first set of new tires on and now it has a shimmy at about 60. The car came with documentation for everything ever done to it. Therefore I would like to have someone to do general maintenance and continue this documentation. I thought I would check here for recommendations.

According to GM (for decades, and they're probably right), shimmy is not caused by alignment unless the alignment was far enough out to wear the tires severely unevenly. If the tires are new and shimmying, it's probably the balance of the tires. Check the old tires closely for evidence of alignment problems.

Went back to the tire store and asked to have the balance checked and BINGO! Problem solved.
I would still like to know if anyone can recommend a good corvette shop/mechanic in the Indianapolis area.
