Default higher stall converter users help needed

All you guys using them,do you run an aftermarket transmission cooler.If so where have you got it mounted.Pics please

A tranny cooler is mandatory!Unless you want to buy another pretty quick.Mine is mounted right in the middle of my radiator in the front.A higher stall creates more heat,and heat kills trannies!Someone will explain it better I'm sure!!!

I researched this a lot when I wanted to up my stall...the big three, Precision, Yank and TCI all agreed that a stall under 3000 did NOT need a stand alone tranny cooler...I'm running a TCI 2400 stall with no cooler and no problems for the past 18 months...

I suppose if you go to a 2800 you could put one in to be extra safe...

I suppose this would be a good time to ask: can someone please educate me as to what a stall converter is, what it does, and how it would work on an automatic?
