'Millenium Yellow' is a C5 color, paint code #79.

'Competition Yellow' code #53 (mid-later C4s) and just plain 'Yellow' code #35 (early-mid C4s) are the respective C4 yellows.

Well, .... close, but no cigar:

'84 Paint Code 53 = Gold Metallic
'85 " "
'86 " 35 = Yellow
" 53 = Gold Metallic
'87 " 35 = Yellow
" 53 = Gold Metallic
'88 " 35 = Yellow
'89 no yellow offered
'90 " 53 = Competition Yellow
'91 " 35 = Yellow
'92 " 35 = Yellow
'93 " 53 = Competition Yellow
'94 " 53 = Competition Yellow
'95 " 53 = Competition Yellow
'96 " 53 = Competition Yellow

Close but no cigar? Your post just reiterated what I said! The two colors kind of overlapped/reverted a little bit in the middle, but what I said is essentially what is in the Corvette Black Book, in the most general sense of course.

Plus, I was not referring to gold anything. The question was in regard to yellow only, so that was what I answered. Since the guy wants to paint his C4 a C5 yellow anyway, it's pretty much irrelevant anyhow. He has the C5 paint code now...
