My first response, standing outside the garage bay as the tech fired the car up and backed it out was,

"DAYUM!"

My second respnose, as noted when I drove away was,

"Wow...it really *is* quiet in the cabin! Shweet."

And my third response, after flooring it for the first time was,

"YEEEAAAAAAH!"

I had a stock system, so the car got a little louder overall. It is not annoying though, and it begs you to misbehave so you can hear it howl. I think the system quieted down some over the first couple of days of driving. Now, even though I can hear it kinda throbbing going down the highway, I can hear the radio just fine, too. On local roads, the sound is barely noticeable in the cabin. The car launches easier, it seems to move along with less effort, and I saw my gas mileage go up 1 mpg. Of course, I should add that I also found some chunks of old cat in the rear Y-pipe when I removed it, so that might not be all Corsa-mpg. Then there's the little matter of how GM left the early C4's without any tail pipe finishers. So much for that lost detail!

BTW, the delivery on my system was about 4 weeks.

The cat-back system comes with the clamps you need. You can download the installation instructions from the Corsa website (in advance if you like). If your exhaust is in good shape, all you are going to need are a few wrenches (and a hacksaw to fit your old system in the trash). I found it a little difficult to remove the hangers for the stock mufflers at the rear bumper. You have to unbolt the rubber mounting blocks to get them out, and on my car those were nut and bolt sets with the nut above the frame. It's a little crowded up in there, but you will be motivated!

One tidbit I found out doing this job was that the whole rear of the car jacks up with a floorjack below the frame near the rear jacking point if the gas tank is near empty. If it's full, the side of the car jacks up instead!

Well I'm gonna take it to the car shop here on the military base, I get a lift and any tools I need for about 5 bucks an hour, and it shouldnt take me too long (hopefully). So I shouldn't have to buy anything extra it looks like? But it also looks like I'll be waiting a MONTH to get my exhaust system, school starts in a week too, man I wanted it on by then :o

i got mine from the same vendor in about 2 weeks.
i installed it (with a little bit of help from my brother) with just two homemade ramps, a few wrenches, and some spray on rust remover. only took me about 2 hours for my first ever exhaust work.

Hopefully, Corsa is catching up with demand. I am one of probably many L98 owners who hounded them about a system for our cars. I would like to know what their sales have been on this system versus what they figured.

One of the members posted a video of his system with sound. You might get an idea if you can find that. I think he had headers on his car. Any forward exhaust mods are going to alter the effect and possibly the volume.

Well d@mn, I've barely lasted 3 hours, how am I gonna last 3 weeks??? I just cant wait to open her up, So its pretty quiet at just cruising? Inside and out? If I pass the cheerleading team doing their warm up laps around the school at about 30 mph just cruising, will it be noticeable???

My first reaction: it's not as loud as I expected INSIDE the cabin. However, have someone you trust drive it and get on it a bit while you stand and watch...you'll be surprised how loud it is outside! Considerably louder than stock and trust me - you won't be disappointed.

Depress clutch, rev to 5000 a couple times...believe me, they'll notice.

I've been thinking about this system as well. I also have a 90' L98. I was wondering how much Hp gain from 250 one could expect to gain. LT headers, PPS2, K&N TPI intake: how much could i expect to gain from all that if it works together, not sure about the headers. I do live in CA what would the best header option be for this Corsa system.

I've seen that vid. of the flowmaster vs corsa and the corsa looks way sweet with the polished steel. Not too tech savvy sorry if this doesn't make complete sense.

I ran in the house and got my wife so she can share in the joy! I was VERY pleased with the sound. It was exactly what I wanted....not too loud, not too quiet.

Well...this isn't *exactly* what you are looking for, but here is a quick little video I took of a stock exhaust system and my Corsa system with headers (no cats).

Sure...it's louder with the headers, but the deep note in the exhaust is the same as with stock manifolds.

Well anything is better than my stock system. The passenger side muffler came apart from the pipe. Guess I will have to make do, I shouldn't be too dissapointed. I'll have headers one day, so that will help. But I'll make do until then. Once again, how does the sound compare to the magnaflow catback?

I think you'll be satisfied with the Corsa system if you don't want resonance. GM sells them and installs them, so they must think highly of them. For me, they're too quiet and I'd rather see all the tips flow equally. But that's just me, a B&B owner. Enjoy.
