Different colored armrests?

Different colored armrests?
90 Vert here, I was Armoralling my interior the other day, and noticed that my passenger side armrest is red, and my drivers is black. The only thing I could think of is since the center console is black, the whole drivers side would be surrounded in black. I did purchase this from another owner, but he wouldve told me if it had been replaced. Here is a picture, doesnt show the drivers side, but its black, I'll take more pictures tomorrow.

That is the way the colored interiors came from 1990-1993. I have seen all the different colored interiors for these years and they are all like this. Mines white-see:
