Default Need your opinion!!!

It seem's that when were are about to replace our exhaust system
everyone talks about,--Borlas--corsas--Flow masters--and
so forth!! my question is, can I use universal Mufflers that I
have seem online that I think look pretty good! they have a
low and deep tone and are made out of 304 stainless and the
prices are a heck of a lot cheaper than the aforemention one's.
Also as we know more expensive does not mean Better!!
Here are a couple of pics of mufflers I'm looking at for my "84"
What do you's think?

I don't know if they are as good as the name brands, but if you are the first, we sure will find out! Maybe it's worth the gamble???? I like the looks, but who can tell what it will sound like in 6 months, or how it'll hold up. It should, but that doesn't mean much when you have to go hunt down the company to make them honor whatever guarantee there is.

Be the first! And post how it turns out.

It looks nice in the pic. Resonance is common among C4 aftermarket exhaust and can be a pain to live with. I had Magnaflows and changed to Corsa's. It hurt to spend the money, but I have been very happy with them.

So we have another "I want the best but don't want to pay the price" guy. On your 84, I'm not sure who makes a complete system for your Vette, I think B&B came out with a new system for you. But getting back to your original question, I don't like the burnt tips, but that's just me, and I wouldn't buy them unless I heard them on another Vette like yours. You could be our "test bed."

Looks like you would have to fab up some hangers for them.

"Resonance is common among C4 aftermarket exhaust..." longhorn

VEry correct! And actually, resonance is a HUGE issue with all cars and many (if not most) aftermarket exhausts. People will say, oh I like that sound, but it does get tiring. Tell us how they sound if you go that route.

Make sure you find a guy that can weld S/S so you don't mess up that pretty shine.

Quietest muffler I've seen is the factory LT1

you're going to need a reducer as the inlet is 2.5", and the stock pipe is 2.25"
