Door panel removal 91 corvette
Need to replace weak door lock actuator.Any help on door panel removal and installing new actuator would be appreciated.91 corvette.157,000 miles and still runs great. THANKS

Easy.
1) Remove the screws at the bottom, carpeted edge.
2) remove the screws at the door handle (2)
3) remove the one leading screw on the carpeted segment next to the dash
4) remove the screw behind the lock slide
5) remove the screw behind the door handle
6) remove the door light, remove screw from behind
7) pop off the window/power mirror switch panel
7a) if passengers side, pop off the power window switch and remove 7mm screw inside.
8) remove panel.

The door panel will come off pretty easy. Just don't pull too hard. If it isn't coming off when you pull, stop, because you are probably missing a screw.
I did new window seals on my 91 Z and had to take the panels off for them.

I need to do this to mine too. I have the actuator for it. It has a rubber bellows on it with a nylon? arm that looks like the eye of a needle. I take it that is where the lock (slide) lever hooks into it. They are also riveted on, so you either have to use nuts and bolts to hold it, or rerivet it.
