What can you do to display stored codes on a 1989? Thanks

Take it to Auto Zone, they will read the codes for you. For free.

Or Jumper the ALDL pins. Can't remember which ones at this moment but, someone will chime in.

Jump the A and B terminals on the ALDL. Count the flashes of the light.

...in other words, take and bend a paper clip to short the top two right hand ports - it will flash each code 3 x's begining w/ the code 12 - and then any trouble codes after that...
