I want to get the eliminator for obvious reasons. My question is whats the differnce between the mid america version for 23 dollars shipped and the ones on ebay for 10 dollars shipped. Anything?
How about the free version? Just unplug the relay located on the passenger side of the engine bay (depending on which year you have). You won't even get dirty.

As I understand it, the MAM version incorporates a resistor in it so that an error code isn't thrown(at least mine did), whereas the cheapie does not.
Not that it makes much difference....
Like yellowlust said, I just unplugged mine on my '95. No codes, no cost. One of the best "mods" out there !
Anyone have any pics of the relay in the engine bay or the disconnect on the transmission?? I have a 95. Thanks. Don't want to disconnect the wrong thing. Thanks.

My question is that it says it will throw a code if you run a diagnostic check, but does this mean the check engine light will be on or only shows up if you connect to dealer computer. Anyone done this?

I just ordered the one from zipcorvette.com for like 16 bucks. If you have OBDI, theres no codes to worry about, only OBDII (1996), however the "One to Four" light will still come on in the left of the dash, no big deal.

I just unplugged mine and no SES light, nothing shows up when I scan the PCM either...
I left it half plugged in so that the connector stays clean, the rubber gromet on the male side of the plug keeps it from falling completely out...
