Maybe you're sitting too close to her ... or maybe she's dropping a hint?

I believe it is coming from the exhaust and Catalytic converter. The Corvette parts suppliers sell kits to put between the floor/console and the carpet to cool things down.
Nice web site!

don't think she was dropping a hint - she had both feet on the floor

I recently replaced the carpet in my 85 and while I had it out I went to Menard's and bought a roll of the silver foil heat insulation. This is the stuff with the plastic in between two layers of foil. I laid it down from the firewall to behind the seats and on all sides. I now get very little heat on my console and I still have half of the roll left over. BTW I like the rear spoiler on your car, I have the same one on my black 85.

i know alot of guys don't like a spoiler & on some cars - depending on the spoiler & the make of car i would agree but i like the looks of this low profile spoiler on the C4 body style - when i added the tint - the spoiler - mini bra & the wheels & tires it just really gave the car a look that i really like & as long as "I" like it - on my car - i'm a happy camper - tommy

I agree completely, I looked long at hard at spoilers and this is THE only one I wanted on my car. I don't know how to post pics here or I'd trade pics with you.

I use and really like this easy-to-use (and free) photo host site: www.shutterfly.com
It came with my Dell and I am very happy with it. You download your pics and then you can post them here.
Click on the Shutterfly pic you want to post then push the "ctrl" and "c" keys at the same time. This will copy your pic.
When ready to add a pic simply click on the little yellow icon above here that looks like a mountain and sun. This will open a box with a "http" in it. Clear the "http" and hit the "ctrl" and "v" keys at the same time. This will insert you pic to your post.
There is a "test" site here on the Forum that allows you to test your posts before embarassing yourself publicly. You don't want to mistakenly post that nude pic of yourself at your last batchelor party - and WE DON'T WANT TO SEE IT!

This is how LonghornC4 taught me to post so thank him for the info!
Here is a cute one I took at a car show last month:

Thanks Corvetteronw, I'll give that a shot. Also thanks to Longhorn C4.

8T5, here goes, I've never posted a pic before. This pic is the only one I have of the rear of the car and it was taken before the car was completely put back together. Since everything is black I hope you can see it. Corvetteronw, I couldn't get shutterfly to work, I opened an account and put in some pics but the ctrl-c and ctrl-v would not work for me.[IMG][/IMG]

Okay, I think I've got it.
