Default Fun stuff for ~$100 or less?

Be it for bein short on cash (at the moment) or the love of workin on my 'vette, was just curious what kind of stuff you fellow C4 owners can recommend for roughly $100 or less.. be it a speed improvement, better headlamps, niceties inside, body stuff, etc, etc, etcetera...
(I have an 86, but welcome all of the C4 era to this thread, as I have a few late-model owning friends that have the same attitude.)

Here are a few choices:

1) Headlamps - Sylvania Silverstars @ $20 each.
It made a HUGE improvement over the standard headlights.
Let's see, that'll leave you with $60..

You could also get

2) $40-50: A nice leather Console Cushion from Mid America, Saves the elbow when driving. Price depending if you got one with an emblem or not / includes shipping.. leaving $10-20.

3) $10-20 : Spray paint/Touch up paint to customize your vette a little bit.. (i.e. painting Brake Calipers)

or you could even
4) start getting engine hardware/chrome dress-up for your vette.

I'd go with #'s 1, 2, and 3, as chrome dress-up for under the hood will cost a pretty penny once you're all said and done with it.

I did options # 1, 2, and 3 with my vette, so I know those items will gladly accept your $100.

Chrome tips-$90 for really nice ones. Smoked plexiglas info center cover, and corvette logo cover for the power seat, power window hole on the console, C4 logo mats $69, all are available at Zips, Ecklers, MidAm. etc. etc. Tint your windows! -$159

I'm assuming you meant <$100 "per project", sooo here goes:
1) delete the spare & jack and lose 40-50lb-$0
2) install a K&N air filter with cut lid-$40
3)do the TB coolant bypass mod-$10
4)do the cut back stock style spark plugs mod-$0
5)relocate the MAT into the side of the air filte lid-$40
6)install a 160deg T-stat & fan switch-$15
7)install a "Corvette" lens (from MAM) over your DIC-$20
8)install the "sprcs" plaque (from MAM) on the console-$15
9)clay bar, polish & wax your Vette-$40
10)clean that dirty engine-$10
These 10 items for ~$200 will keep you off the street and out of trouble for a while.

Fun projects! Number five you can do for free if you reuse your old sensor and have a plug handy. I've got lots of spare things so that one was just spent time. Also for cabin looks, the breadbox mod!!! Oh how I love the cabin now without that thing sticking out! The Corvette lens over the power seat hole looks very nice to.

Oh yeah, you could port the plenum for the cost of new gaskets if you have the tools. It's a lot of fun porting!

Good link with stuff to do! I'll add high flow front Y pipe. Also polishing your wheels. Strip 'em and polish or reclear coat. Poly sway bar bushings! Change fluids (tune up) including rear diff.

One thing that makes me wonder about the spare tire delete... what with the sudden loss of that much weight 'over' the rear tires, has anyone noticed less traction / slightly less grip on the rear wheels?

..and I long ago (read.. 'bout 4 months) got rid of the breadbox. This in turn has numerous benefits.. 1) i found and got rid of a LARGE cb receiver unit the previous owner had crammed in there 2) i found and got rid of more of the BS wiring the previous owner had run 3) my friend described riding in my vette as no longer being 'a claustrophobic experience' when the glass top is on, and realized that it was because he no longer had that monolith jutting out into his face.

'a claustrophobic experience'

That was my first impression of the passenger seat to!

Spare tire delete only takes a few mins. I did not notice any less traction.

Interior need any touchups. Paint, prep, adhesion promoter, etc. This should add up to almost $100.00. How are the door sills. About $75.00 to recover them.
