Have'nt been here in a while, my 88 has been running so good I have few questions, but I'm sure there's a few to come. My wife has become real comfortable with this car, and it's going to be hard to part with. The C4 is a great car and mine is now very reliable.Problem is, I have C2 fever, I drove my pal's 64 and it's kinda crude, but I am getting woo'd by the compact little design and I can get in it way easier. Any C4'ers go to the C2? comments?

Thanks.

I was a squirtling when the C2 came out but I remember it well. I could not get a model of it to build fast enough. It's the car that truly lit my fire as far as Corvettes go. Obviously I am a fan and if I could ever afford one classic Vette, this would be it. The only thing I would ask you is this. Is it essential that you get rid of the C4 to aquire the C2?

I would love a yellow coupe with 327/350hp, black interior, side pipes, rallys with red lines, Steeroid front end, Vintage air and a Keisler 6-speed. I can't afford it though. I sold a 65 roadster in 1968 when I got shipped to Vietnam and still miss those cars!
Some of us are getting together at Johnson Park at 10:30 for a run up to Newaygo on Sat Oct 8. You are invited!
See the Events section under Great Lakes.

Default C4 -c2

Unfortunately yes, I know I'll regret letting the trusty C4 go, I've been around my friends C2 and I can easily handle the maintenance ,upkeep etc., they're far more simple, but don't offer all the C4 creature comforts. It's a small block so MPG is nice for my usage it's going to be perfect. The price in this area's economy on C2's is getting good (baby boomers are kinda hurting here), It's funny my friend's son's rice tuner guys are seriously looking at my vette. They want quick bolt-on power and that's easy with the C4.

Reminds me about some kids telling other kids that a $250 carbon fiber little cold air intake on a SOHC 1.6L Civic is gonna give me 25 extra hp and the $200 2.5" test pipe/custom down pipe exhaust and a $300 4-2-1 chrome polished header would yield 50 hp. Damn, so they'd have from a stock 125 hp to a 200 hp Civic now?? It is crazy how some of those kids are fooled!!! Those $700+ in mods would really give that Civic less than 5 extra hp if I'm not mistaken.

Then they'll say, I'm gonna put some NAWS on soon and I'll be running Mustangs!! Yeah right.

C4s are the best bang for the buck mod wise as long as you know how to avoid paying the dreaded Corvette tax.
