Default 35th Anniversary

What features distinguish a 35th anniversary version from the ordinary C4?

They were all white with a black halo, white wheels, white interior(though the carpet was black).
They were numbered(2050 made). They had 35th badges on the sides, the console which carried the number plate had a 35th logo where the center flag falss off any car that had been driven(and to replace that piece is near impossible.
The molding was also white rather than black on a normal C4.

RPO Z01 cost around $4700 and was coupe only.

Very good looking cars, I know several people that have one.

The attached pic is the only one I have handy.

They cost more than an ordinary C4.

The 6-speeds are very rare. Anyone know how many were made like this? Anyone have one?
I have never seen a 35th 6-speed.
Here are a bunch of them, Carlisle '04

Frank you have a sharp eye for detail; that pic was from Carlisle 2004.

Though Frank covered most of the 35th Anna features, let me reiterate them along with a few more:
-white paint with white molding but a black halo & roof panel,
-white painted ('89 Vette style) wheels with 35th style emblems
-35th badges on the front quarters and 35th style emblems on the hood & gas door lid
-white interior pieces (seats with 35th logo embroydered into the headrests, door panels, console cover, steering wheel & horn button with 35th style emblem, seat belts) and black carpet
-the build number (or 2050 total) was engraved on a console console plate along with the 35th logo.

The RPO Z01, available on coupe only, brought the following RPOs:
AC3 - power passenger seat
AQ9 - leather sport seats
24S - blue tinted roof panel
C68 - electronic A/C
D74 - illuminated driver vanity mirror
Z52 - sport handling: booster fan, Delco shocks, oil cooler, 17" wheels, fast steering
Z6A - rear & side window defrosters

These options put the 35th Anna at about $34,282, whereas the base coupe was $29,489.

Indeed the 6-speed was not available until '89 and only a few (<30 I believe) 35ths came with the RPO MN4 4+3 stick shift.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. I am going to look at one tonight after work. Wanted to make sure I knew what I was looking for. How much more should a 35th anniversary version cost over a regular C4 these days? The dealer wants $13,900, car has 69k miles and is an auto trans.

One year ago "Corvette Enthusiast" rated the 35th Anna in "Good" condition at $14,400 with a 11% "appreciation" rate.

In the spring of '2000 I paid 13,900 for my 35th with 96k miles on the clock and I would have rated it in "good" to "fair" condition.

For comparison, here are some asking prices from members of the "Tripple White" registry:
$12,350-52k miles (615) 595-2779
$14,500-79k miles (919) 971-2481

If your 35th of interest comes with the OEM painted black top that alone is worth around $1,500.

Check it out carefully and make sure all the badges & emblems are on the car and in good condition as they are very rare and rather pricy when found. For example, I paid $125 for a new horn button a few years ago. One of the most common wear items is the leather on the seat bolsters; and those seats will run a little more then regulars to have recovered.

Of course you can deal on the car but that asking seems to be in the ball park, depending on condition.

PS, please note that I edited in a comment to my above post about the 35th logos ebroydered into the headrests.

OK, price seems right. I'm going tomorrow morning to check out the car and if it's in good condition, I'll make an offer. I've already walked around the car and appearance wise it's nice. . .very nice. Ran Carfax and it checks out OK. This will be my first Vette. . .a dream come true. . .

Just had to add my .02 to Jims rundown.....The door handles were also painted body color (white obviously). A reg 88 white vette would have black door handles.

Good point, I keep foregetting all the little details. Sort of like being married for a long time I guess.
