Ok, so today I come outside to find 3+ inches of water in the driver's side floor of my 'Vette . Wasn't too happy about it. After looking at all the weatherstripping I only saw a few drops coming from the top of the window and I didn't think it was possible for all that water to come in from there. Well I heard someone talking about something being clogged under the hood that would cause water to come inside.
I opened up the hood and pulled off that black grate thing and saw a build up of water in there, but couldn't see anything that could be clogged. So I grabbed a straw and started suckin'. I sucked out all of the water and dirt in it (yeah I know disgusting, but I was desperate.) and then I saw a hole there.
I followed the hole and sure enough there was a black tube connected to it. The tube was FILLED with dirt and other stuff. I unclogged it and hopefully this will stop the problem. Now, my question is I looked, but couldn't find a tube for the other side. Is there one? If so, where is it? Thanks
I have a 86 vette with the same problem do I have the drain tubes like the one's show on the fourm link below ? And also why would they put the drain tube's draining inside of the interior of the car ??

yes all c4s have them. they are to drain the pit in front of the windshield. they are not normally inside the car. i just moved them inside to take the pics.
There are two drains on the passenger side. The one inside should be self explanatory so I’m assuming you mean the one on the blower plenum. No it not coming off the pit in front of the windshield like the other 2 under the hood. Its really not all that visible but if you reach your hand under the blower thing, next to the passenger gill, you should be able to feel it. Its not a long thin tube like the others. Totally guessing id say its about 2 inches long and 3 inch diameter.
wow this is great, its been rain here in MD for over a week and saturday i took my home made top cover off so don't have to worry about roof leaks, and after opening the hood i notice the water under the wiper grates too. good to know theres drain hose, so i'll have to see were mine is on my 86 and clean it out.
Thanks!!
