I have a line on a green '93 (tan interior) with 35,000 miles (54,000 km). Asking $13,000 US dollars ($15,500 Canadian). I own a C3 (1977) and love it - but opportunity is knocking!! The car is ultra clean, 2 owner, no accidents, 1 roof (from factory) new tires. Everything else is stock and mint.
I've read earlier email strings and have a pretty good idea what to watch for. Frame is great (how can you tell I own a C3?!?!), and the brakes like new. The previous owner wants to part with it - bought a new Cross-Fire.
So I'll leave you with 2 questions: Does the price sound to be in the range and what other advice do you have in looking over this car.

Yeah,he is looking to buy. $13K.... Some might think its a little high. But if the car is sound and you like it (the color combo rocks) then buy it. Might ask $11K.
I still cant get over the fact that the owners are getting rid of the '93 Corvette for a chrysler crossfire!! The Vette out performs it in every way, looks better, has more history...It's a Vette for Pete's sake!! The Cross fire is a sissy car! Built off of left over Mercedes Benz SLk parts.....
Thanks folks. You've given me a good level of comfort that the price is in the right range.
Any final words of wisdom of what 'unseen' mechanical issues I might want to look for with a car of this model/year? Again, I have a good idea with a C3 - I'm new to a C4.
PS: I know - a cross-fire over a corvette: unbelievable!!!!!!!! (but to my potential gain)
Ask about the Opti and water pump. Are they original to the car? I'm not saying they'll crap out on you any time soon, but when they do it's not a cheap fix. Mine went at 25k, so just be sure to ask.
Good luck with the purchase. The car sounds sweet.
