On the 16 pin ODB II type connector, which you will find on the ODB I 1995 car, you short pins 4 -12.
Then you do the following to see the codes on the digital display:
"The '95 is a "sort of" OBD I. Short the two pins with a paper clip.
Turn on the ignition. Section 1 is the CCM (Chassis Control Module) and shows "C12" then any stored codes finishing with "---". Next is section 4, the PCM (Power Control Module) that shows any codes for the engine or trans. Section 9 is the braking controller finishing with "---". Last is section A which is the DERM (Air Bag Controller). Each section uses the same numbers (DTCs) with different meanings. Post the codes and the sections they show up in. We will help with meanings and ideas as to what to check."
Is the DLC connector marked or is there a picture of the pin outs of the DLC? I know with mine I had to use the picture to orient it correct to find the pins.

On my car I also had to use a diagram and orient the DLC accordingly as the location under the dash is difficult to read specfici pin out #

Pin 5 - Signal Ground
Pin 6 - CAN High (J-2284)
Pin 7 - ISO 9141-2 K Line
Pin 10 - J1850 Bus
Pin 14 - CAN Low (J-2284)

Pin 16 - Battery Power
Hmmm, is that OBD-II connector pinout looking from behind (wire side) or from front (pin side)??
The reason I ask is that pinouts on OBD-I connectors (looking from the pin side) are always shown with the opposite sequence of numbering, i.e. they start with A on upper right and proceed to F on upper left.

should be from pin side, in others words, as you are looking at the connector that is installed in the car.
