Eagle GS-C's
89 coupe
I need a new set of tires. (Actually I could probably have squeaked another year out of these but I drove a 1/4" bolt through one. Patched it but somehow don't feel secure driving at 75+ anymore)
I got 55,000 out of the original GS-Cs and also out of a replacemnt set. So I was pretty satisfied with the GS-Cs.
Stopped in to a dealer and he says he can give me a set of GS-Cs still for $900 all in. I got a quote of $1277 for the Eagle HPs so it seems like a deal. I'm going to check the serial numbers to verify the manufacture date on the tires.
Any comments? Seem like a deal?
Thanks

Last fall I replaced my original (50k miles) GS tires with GY Eagle Eagle HP Ultra Plus tires and am very pleased with them.
The cost $800 from Tire Rack (shipped to my door), $25 each for M%B and $90 for a 4-wheel alignment, a total of close $1k.
If you have a local installer, I strongly recommend checking out Tire Rack prices; shipping is only a few tires per tire.
If you go with the HPs I think you will be quite pleased with them.

Why don't you replace them with the GS-D3s. They are the next generation tire from GY and better than the GSCs.

I put Pirelli P-Zero tires on a few months ago. A little less pricy then the GS-D3s, and stick great.

55,000 miles? That's hard to believe. Do you mean km?
