The passenger side power window switch on my '90 coupe appears to be bad. Can anyone tell me if the switch housing itself can be removed from the door panel w/o removing the entire panel? If not, can anyone tell me the location and # of screws which have to be removed to take off the door panel? I'm sure there must be a link somewhere to describe removing the panel, but I have done a search everywhere and have not been able to locate a procedure. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
I would pull the door panel .
The switch can be removed but the metal clip on the south end of the switch may break.
The wires on that switch are not secure and I would draw a picture of the switch back side and where the wires go before you remove the switch from the door panel.
I have not found a factory book that tells you where the wires go so be care full.
Dont forget the screw behind the courtsy light at the door handel the lock know just pops off towards you.
Just use the forked tool on the round things at the bottom of the door so you don't have to buy new ones, they just pop streight out.
Make sure the window is in the all the way down possession.
