On my Classic Car this morning they showed this Corvette something like on 140 of them made for GM. Looks like a mercedes body with a stock corvette drive train and interior. 83 era, I know there is only one 83 at the museum. But apparently GM contracted these people to make them during slumping C3 sales before C4 released in 84.

Sort of looks like an Excaliber to me.
Exs were also made on GM drivetrains, and it's a way for seniors to feel the "wind-in the hair" effect if they can't wiggle into the car, or ride a bike.
