I'd say the car is worth about $10k... but hard to tell without pics. It may go as high as $13k.
It depends on what you want the car for as to if it is a good year. If you just want a cruising car... yes, the 92 was the first LT1 and it is a strong running motor. It is a speed density set up so modding it is a bit more tricky... so if you plan on modding it... I'd say no.
Kinda what I was thinking. The owner wants 15K, but I was thinking more like 12K-13K. Don't think he will take it, but there are plenty of Vettes available.
This would be a No-Mod Beach & Traffic Cruiser for us, and a car for our in-laws to use when they visit. Our modded Z06 fits the bill nicely when we "feel the need for speed".
If you're going to pay that much, make sure it's thoroughly gone over top to bottom for a few hundred more. I'm sure you know this, but a nice shine and a clean interior may not be a true indication altho this one may be in very good shape. Bon chance.
92 is the first year LT1 and has the unvented OPTI. To me 92 is a good year however, if you're located in Maine, the normal corvette driving season is ending and the prices should dip. I would offer 10K to 13K if it was really nice! However, I drive mine everyday and think Corvettes are just automobiles.
I would say $15k is a decent price for a 92 conv in good shape w/ that low of miles. Do a search on autotrader for a 92 conv under 45k miles and see what you get. Lowest price is $16k and average is $20k.
Around here late 80s models w/ 100k miles go for $10k and may or may not be in great condition.
