Default How much would a ruby vert be worth?

Originally posted this over in C4s For Sale but didn't get any feedback so thought I'd try here:

A co-worker came across a ruby vert that "needs a little body work on one door". Neither of us have seen the car but wonder what it might be worth. Car is listed for $8,000.

So:
1) what would one of these be worth normally?
2) @ $8k it sounds like a deal if the mileage is reasonable, am I right on this?
3) what other resources would be able to help me evaluate this?

Thoughts and feedback please.
Thanks.

Year, mileage, actual interior condition, what else is tore up around/inside the door, condition of weatherstripping and top, etc.....

$8k may or may not be good.

I have to agree. Mileage and condition of the rest of the car make all the difference in the world.

Go take a look at it - an $8k Ruby vert would be a real buy in my market if it is only superficial door damage. A first class repair and door paint and whole-car buff out should be do-able for a reasonable amount (< $2 - $2.5k) and you've got a nice collector car for a good price. Good Luck!

I guess it boils down to what you want to spend on the car. Prices are really dropping on the C4. There a quite a few nice C4's at that price with no damage.

Good luck

Thanks for the feedback guys. If the car were fixed up to good condition in all areas, inside and out, what kind of price could it fetch? Is it $10k, $15k, $20k? Ballpark only.

Not enough details to give a price.

Good luck
They are getting so cheap, I'm half tempted to once again (I know )dump the 89 and see if I can snag a deal on an LT4. Always loved those cars!
