Default got hit

well i was on my way home from football today and stopped to make a left turn because of traffic and got hit by a pathfinder , the vette looks like it will need a bumper so the the restoration is on hold now i guess . something i hadn't thought about happened too, i hit my head on the roof mounting brackets the guy was cool (marine who recently finished his obligation) about it all and so was i. the cop made the comment that when he heard corvette and wreck on the radio he expected it to be strewn accross the road . so that was my ride home.

while i do have the arsenal that would allow a killing spree as vader suggested i think i will let the insurance deal with this . i am sure (not 100% but i hope) i will get a bumper a complete paint job would be nice seeing how clearcoat is almost nonexistent on the car (fun to watch it flap around and blow off the hood) i would be elated if i got new paint . my head has a bump on it from that roof bracket so i may drive around with a helmet on from now on

How tall are you? I am 6'5" and know that if I get rear-ended my head is going to hit something too. I guess I will take that risk.

Sorry to hear about your vette (and your head!) but at least no one was severely hurt. Hope all goes well with insurance covering the damage.

& Heal quick, but make sure you get the head checked out, especially if you start feeling odd.

If it's the front bumper, those are hard to come by used, so hopefully you'll get a new one with fresh paint.

i'm only 5'11" and i don't see how anyone much taller can fit in these cars . the car is not off the road because the damage is cosmetic . and my head just has a little bump and i felt fine and even played an entire playoff football game yesterday (we won!)
