Default bought my first vette

first of all i guess i say hi guys my names john

bought my first vette yesturday
1986 auto (yea i wanted stick) white with red leather (sport seats)
91-96 rear end and sides, chrome zr1 wheels, glass top,
great condition with only 110,000 miles

grew up wanting my dads 86 but he wouldnt give it up
so here i am

i plan on getting a 91-96 front, and hopefully get it to high 12's
from whative been reading not to hard
pics are old ones from previous owner but will do , only second owner of this car
gotta get my pics done but been lazy

Wecome! You will come to find that the low end torque of the TPI and the auto make for a great driver, enjoy!

Congrats John, and welcome. Be sure to keep a can of WD40 handy since you'll need to keep your wallet well lubed! But hey, just like temperamental women, temperamental cars and always more fun.

Welcome. it is helpful and friendly in here.
Early tip...
Change all the fluids.... oil, rad, brake, (clutch), transmission, rear diff
Clean out the area between the condenser and the rad to keep it running as coll as possible.

I got my 1986 all most 4 years ago , It doesnt cost as much as people think to own this type of vette, i havent spent much at all but it helps if you do most of the work you can do your self with any car of this age
we are talking 20 years, on any car will need some up keep.
but its fun to drive and own.
