Jack-a-Vette
Someone asked about this recently. The black iron piece on top of the lifting area has a pin that fits down inside of the jack when you take its "saucer" off.
The top of the piece is rubber coated so as not to scratch your baby. This piece fits between the exhaust pipes and lifts the entire rear. Great tool!
Anyone have a link to their web site? I think it is made by Corvette Gadget Man out of Canada.

That would be handy, first time I am seeing this
It was worth paying for it just to have the UPS guy say "Corvette Gadget Man? What's that? My curosity won't let me rest until I see what's in the box!"
Oh yeah - just found the web site: www.corvettegadgetman.com well, duh!

Ron....Not to hijack the thread, but I LOVE those wheels. Are those Rikens? They aren't made anymore as far as I can tell. If you ever want to part with them, drop me a PM

Rikens. You can buy them now .......wth the car attatched. See my ad in the C4 For Sale section.
The tools works great, but the first time I used it I noticed that it was jacking up the exhaust pipes about an inch before it contacted the differential casing. Didn't seem to hurt anything but I was worried for a second.
It works great!
Exhausts all hang a bit different...
I put a 1/4 inch aluminum shim with a piece of rubber glued to it on the top of mine. It now fits perfect!
I have one but it doesn't fit between the exhaust pipes. I'm running Magnaflows and the space is real tight. Also, there's a metal piece welded to the top of both pipes which blocks the adapter from sliding in as well. Any ideas what I can do?

They are very nice people to deal with and their customer service is also excellent!
I had one and threw it in the trash after the damn thing slipped out of the hole in the jack when I had it up. Good thing my jackstands where already in place when it did. I just jack the entire side of the car up at once, place a jackstand, then repeat on the other side.
It would be great if we all had metal fabbing skills. I am just about to complete mine. I'll have to sand it tomorrow as those fresh cut metal edges are razor sharp!! Some broken rubber mallet I have here still laying around shall serve as a cushion so it will not scratch up the pumpkin.

Thanks!!!!
That's what I was wondering about, what I would use for the rubber cushion. I have a rubber mallet that has been lurking around my garage for at least twenty years.
$40 bucks is not unreasonable, but then again, $40 bucks is $40 bucks.
