Spring is the deal. Today the thermometer reached 29 on Long Island. What a f****** drag, to say the least. Now I have to set her up for a long winter's nap, and hope for a warm day to take a quick spin. Thinking about Arizona, New Mexico, as an alternate home.
I'm a first time vette owner. I bought an '85 coupe w/ 91000 for $5000 in August. I think it has almost 94000 on it now. Being a vette owner is the greatest thing since sliced bread! It's my DD, about 14 miles round trip.
Are you guys saying the low is 26 or the high for the day is 26?
When do I have to park my vette? I live in Utah. We don't have any snow or rain in the forecast for the next week or two. Our lows are in the mid-20's and the highs have been around 45. It's kind of unusal not to have snow by now, but I don't mind since I drive my vette to work every day. I had to go to the VA office in SLC yesterday and it was great to be able to get it on the highway.
Anyway, have a great day. And by the way, nice pics. One day mine might look like that.

What I do is put the car up during the time that they are putting salt on the highways. Sometimes this is as late as Mid December (in West Michigan). Then put it back on the road in the Spring after the first hard rain (to wash the salt off the roads).
Salt makes the aluminum parts all cruddy and starts the rusting of the frame and other metal parts. It also corrodes electrical connections and grounding points.

There's something you can really hold onto! Hey Ron, if it makes you feel any better, earlier in the week it was 67 when I got up to go to work. This morning it was 20! This is more like shi**y January weather for NC, brrrr! At least it was clear so I could drive the Vette to work.
We had our first rain/ice/snow event here in MN this week. One look at my GMC after the trip to work and back, and I was glad my Vette was safely stored for the season. Gosh I hate all that salt, it drives me nuts just having it on my truck, if it were to get on the Vette I'd go insane.
Ohwell, the Vette should be back out in 5 months or so. . .
Here is a picture from my window as I read this thread:
I hoped to go for one more nice drive.
TELL ME ABOUT WINTER!
Where do you live, can't tell by your profile.
Just looking at that picture makes me depressed. I imagine I will be able to post one of those pictures in about, hell, a few day's.

That's a picture from Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Sault Ste. Marie to be exact. Rumour has it that they got about 14 inches of snow westward over by Marquette. This is kind of early for snow that is giving every indication of staying. Oh well, that 4x4 in the driveway does a great job and eventually I'll put the plow on.
Believe it or not, we live here by choice. It's a great place.
Used to live in Michigan. . .Holland area to be exact. Lake effect snow. . .I remember getting lots of it. But in the summer. . .well. . .no nicer place could one be!

We have had about 4" of snow this week. I was hoping with the warmer temps that it would melt and I would be able to drive her to Theif River Falls for a wedding today. It was not to be. Rain and snow again today. I am afraid she is in for the duration now.
