was taking my C4 for a spin today..stopped at a light..a C5 pulled next to me..and the driver actually gave me the wave.. its not often a pretty girl driving anything waves at this old man anymore..
C'mon, Vince! YOU ARE NEVER OLD, AS LONG AS YOU'RE DRIVING A CORVETTE! If you believe nothing else, believe that one.
And you must be in a vacuum part of your state; heck I thought there were lots of Corvettes in Connecticut.
Last Sunday, I went out for a good long drive and saw 8 Corvettes, some of which had their top down (a bit chilly for that, but still sunny). And 7 of 'em returned the wave. The one who didn't, it's possible he didn't see it because the sun was right in his eyes and getting later in the day.
The wave is alive!!! At least 3 of them were C5s and two were C6s! Doncha just love Corvettes. ]
[so. she was really gorgeous, eh? didja get her picture? can you post it?
Last time I was sitting at a light next to a car full of pretty girls, one of them looked over at me, and started telling her friends, "Hey! Look at that old guy driving that Corvette!" They all started giggling, the light turned green, and they hauled a$$. I didn't know whether to laugh or cry...instead, I just drove my 49 year old butt home, popped a cold one, and listened to my wife howl with laughter, when I told her what had happened. Women....what are ya gonna do?
In my town, its either wave or thumbs up. Corvette owners are always either considered "really cool" or just plain a-holes. College kids driving 2000 and up import cars always look down on us and the ones with the older imports are really a draw between admiring or the "pfffffff" attitude.
