I guess I never was concearned about buying or Selling on our Forum. My boss recently bought a 95' which was a Katrina Car and needless to say we need parts.Question,What recourse does one have if, let' say, I send someone a money order for parts and he doesn't ever ship them. In my many years of buying & selling never had the least bit of a problem. But,I need to convince my boss, being from the "Old School" that it's pretty safe to do so.
Thanx for your help / comments.

This is why I prefer to buy and sell via PayPal. If I don't get my goods, or they are wrong, damaged, etc., I can have my credit card refunded. Then I can go after the other account owner's credit rating if I want to.
I would say that depends on what STATES are involved. i would contact your consumer protection department. Since this is not retailing it may be small claims court but not sure about cross state lines.
Do your research before buying. Does the seller have his profile filled out? Has he been a long time member and more important is he well known on the forum, a frequent poster etc. How many people know him personally?
Most rip off artisits will be a member for a very short time, no location or other profile info etc.
From: St. Peters MO Sometimes you have to prove yourself by doing alot of killing or alot of dying...
Dennis... man... just convince your boss to become a member ... Then he will know what kind of idiots we are
Just playin'
I agree with Kyle. Set up a PayPal account as it is the easiest and best way to handle fraud issues. If memory serves me, if you are frauded and the transaction involved mailing them a MO, it can also be a federal mail fraud offense too. None the less, it is always a buyer beware market. If you get screwed it will take forever to get your $$$ back!!!
As Mojo said, do your due diligence... it is the only real way to verify the validity of the seller. The only other recourse you would have is buy the parts yourself, and then resell them to your boss and an inflated fee... hey your time and troubles have to be worth something
