Does anyone have this info handy? I need to know for a shipping quote. Thanks.

Here's a bump
I would guess about 200 lbs.

Here is GM's site with bare block wieghts of various SBCs and they al seem to be 187LBSLINK

I forgot to add if you're not careful constructing the shipping crate it may up weighing more than the block.

It'll be shipped truck freight and so will be wrapped and strapped to a small pallet. I'll estimate it at 200 total then, should be about right, thanks.

Check the link I posted earlier, they have the aluminum block listed at around a 140 pounds.
200 pounds is girly weight any man should be able to throw 200 pounds into the back of a car after carrying it a couple thousand meters.
I know I can! Shoot back in high school my brother and I quit using the chainfall to install engines because it was quicker to use a piece of pipe and a small length of chain and just place the 454 in the car.


IMO, if you can't carry a bare block you might need to add this to your garage.
