Well the salts been laid down on the roads here in Maryland and now
it's downtime time for the vette ('92 LT-1). Got a float charger and wonder if I can just hook it up to the battery (without disconnecting the battery cables and removing the battery)...to let 'er stay charged up for the winter?
I use a trickle charger that will handle up to 4 batteries..I hook up my Vette as well as my '71 Mach One (Ford)..I leave the terminals connected on the batteries..have been doing it now for a few years never had a problem
Leave the battery connected. If you disconnect it, you'll lose your clock and radio settings, and your alarm system will be inactive. There's no good reason to disconnect it, and a few good reasons to keep it hooked up.
