With that engine setup if you mount drag radials you will have a mid 12 second quarter and a sub-5 second 0-60. You'll smoke your Dad as soon as you learn to get it launched.
I have a Hotcammed engine and I put bus lengths on CTS-Vs in the quarter. The CTS-V has a stronger engine than the XLR. Now, the XLR-V might beat you.
The 93 ZF6 is underrated at 13.9, the XLR would have to be underrated by a lot to make up that difference. Is yours a convertible? That might slow you down a good amount, but a good tune on those mods will help make it back up.
