XLR vs. C4
My father has always had his fare share of Sports cars that have ranged from..

Lexus SC 430
Merceded Benz SL 500 (2)
now - Cadiallac XLR
He brags that the new XLR is pretty quick and he thinks its faster than my C4 which I have no idea who would win in a 1/4 mile. He and I agreed that in the spring, we would race. I looked online for 1/4 mile slips.
Stock 2005 XLR... 14.2
Stock 1993 C4.... 13.9
My c4 will have the following...longtube headers w/high flow cats, 3" B&B exhaust, lt4 Hotcam kit, PCM upgrade, electric waterpump. 6 speed with 3.42 rearend.
What do you think? Should I make a bet with him?

I have a Hotcammed engine and I put bus lengths on CTS-Vs in the quarter. The CTS-V has a stronger engine than the XLR. Now, the XLR-V might beat you.

Taking money from your pappy is bad karma.
The 93 ZF6 is underrated at 13.9, the XLR would have to be underrated by a lot to make up that difference. Is yours a convertible? That might slow you down a good amount, but a good tune on those mods will help make it back up.
