I can, just because my OD lockup isn't until 57mph. But I keep it in 3rd because that's one click closer to 2nd, just in case someone wants to play :D

accellerate in D
if im going 45 or over for at LEAST 1/4 of a mile

i pop it in OD

If the road is twisty, D

I constantly shift between D and OD, because it shifts into OD too early. I accelerate in D, and if I get to a high enough speed, I'll put it in OD.

The 3-4 clutchpacks for 700R4's is a really good reason.

I always do, most of our streets have 40-45 mph speed limits in this little town, and with the 3.07 rear end, it is locked in OD a lot of the time.

I usually leave it in D Arounf town and OD when over 50mph :chevy

I do, I could be wrong but I think the '95 owners manual recommends driving in OD under normal circumstances.

I put it in OD when a cop comes by (muffler elims are kinda loud). But i won't accel in it at a low speed. I only accel in it in 60+ MPH/

If I'm in town or doing under about 40-45, I am in D. Over that I bump up to OD. I do this because, last year I had to have my transmission rebuilt and while I don't remember exactly what he said....he mentions something about me driving in OD all the time (becase that is what I used to do).

Funny I can not telll you at all what he said...but what ever the heck it was..I changed my way of driving.

I usually do OD around town. We have a lot of speed traps around and OD keeps me from going too fast, but once I'm on the open road, it's D all the way.
