Most aftermarket systems these days are made to bolt on to the rear of the factory catalytic converters, thus remaining smog legal. Hence the term 'cat-back.'

dont feel bad, when I was a kid we were in a mexican restaurant and I asked My mom (who's from Guadlajara) "mom whats la dies mean in spanish?
