There was a thread a couple of months ago that gave detailed instructions on how to repair the plastic window stops on a C4
It even had pictures better than the manual
I searched and couldnt find it and my 86 drivers side needs this
I believe it was in C4 gen but not sure
Thanks for your help
These are the things that keep the window from scraping the body at the back of the window when the door closes
It may be too late to ask this on a Sat night
Or are you talking about the top of the window the 2 braces at each end front and back with the felt on them that you adjust the window in and out also 10mm bolts.
Eather way the door panel has to come off.
iIf this is a 94 it is one of the easier ones to work with, but the easyest to break.
Are you talking about the rubber weather seal that runs along the top of the door panel that cleans the window inside.
Or the metal brackets that you need to build and install to keep the door panel in place?
I remeber that thread. I have replaced mine it is called the front window stop.It is the front stop and guide and you need a 2 pin wrench for the nut on it .You can spend a fortune for the tool or go to harbour freight where I got mine.I can even tell you how to set the size just squeeze it 1/16 less than it comes when you buy it.Other than that just remove the outer panel and the accessory panel and it is a breeze if you have a factory service manual to guide you.
