Default Shift ****

Does anyone out there know if a C5 shift **** will fit a C4?

LTB Motorsports

They have a complete selection of MOMO shiftknobs, and there's usually something to fit everyone's taste. I have the "MOMO Race" and have been happy with it. The silver anodization has scratched in a couple places, so next time I will probably go with a more polished finish. I will say that their customer service is first-class, and they processed my order with amazing speed. I think it was 2 days from when I filled out the online orderform until it was on my doorstep (FL to CA). Not bad. Oh, and MOMO shiftknobs are universal fit, so you need not worry about thread size.

If the MOMOs aren't your thing, and you're into a more "hot rod" look, check out the Flameballs - Flameball Site - there are some pretty wild combinations, and when matched with the right color car and interior, they can look pretty badass!

Best of luck to you.

I have a C5 **** (pool ball style from Eckers) that I'm going to put on my C4. It appears that the shafts are the same size but the threads ARE different.

I don't think it's so much a bigger/smaller thing.

I was going to tap the ball to match the shaft (though the opposite would probably work as well). The cost for a tap is minimal.

The biggest problem is covering the area under the ****. The stock C4 **** "sleeves" further down the shaft than it threads. The helps hide the center reverse lock-out slider. Keep this in mind when looking at ***** -- if you have the lockout. I will make a sleeve to hang under the ball.

I know that Hurst makes a nice round one in black or white with the shift pattern engraved on it. I have th eblack one in my car and it's great.
