as I recall they made 2. They were later found after having gone through the crusher in England. Somebody or group was trying to rebuild them. I never heard if they finished or gave up the idea.

I don't buy that one. There were other C4's with more power and that wasn't a problem. I'll bet it was a simple numbers problem

There were C4 verts produced by GM with equal to or more power than the ZR-1? I am not aware of these cars. Please enlighten me.

That is not true - An RPO B2K Callaway makes similar (even more in some cases) hp and lots more (flexing) torque than a ZR1 w/ its LT5

Good point. I don't think I poised my question correctly. Did GM every make a vert with equal or more hp than the ZR-1?

I think that 90 Zr-1s point was that the ZR-1 vert was not manufactured because of bean counters. Is that correct?

forget hp for a moment, that isn't what twists a body/frame...

The output of an L98 (1991) was 245hp and 340 lb-ft of torque
- and while the LT5 made 375 hp, or 130 hp more than the L98, it only made 30 more lb-ft of torque than the L98

An RPO B2K Callaway Twin Turbo (1991) made 403hp and 575 lb-ft of torque - no additional bracing was added to a convertible over that of a base convertible.

I am not aware of any issues ever filed for complaints of torque flex on B2K's

I hope this helps

well other people beat me to it but that is what I was getting at... It's a simple issue of numbers. The ZR-1 never sold in any real volume to make the vert a reality
