Recommendation for Remote Entry Needed
I recently purchased a 1991 ZR-1 (my first Corvette!) and one of the items on my shopping list is a remote entry system. The car has power locks, but I want to add the convenience of a remote.
Does anyone have a recommendation as to which one I should purchase?

I have had remote start/security systems in 5 cars . I tried different brands and the best is th Viper system from DEI.It depends on your wants but it has remote (phone) unlock availble along with GPS real time tracking.Pricey but they have different levels of options.My second best selection would be Astro start a Canadian company that had one I was fond of a few years back.Stay away from Bulldog or any cheap systems.Have it professionally installed.

I'm using the Crimestopper 2011RS alarm with remote start and keyless entry. Crimestopper makes several models and if you want just keyless entry they're available. Probably $50-60. I bought mine off Ebay for my El Camino and the Caprice wagon. They're great, inexpensive, and quality units. I installed it myself. I sold my C4 and bought a C5 with a 6 spd. It came with keyless entry, but I won't install a remote start since it is a stick. It's a safety hazard. I know...blah, blah, blah. Who cares what I have? Check 'em out. The DEI and Viper are excellent too. I just wanted to save a few bucks. I haven't had any problems with the Crimestopper.
