Drill the rubber out and then use a hacksaw blade to cut the inner sleave. Both are a pain but since you have the carrier out of the car be careful not to cut the carrier itself with that hacksaw blade.
A hydraulic press is the way to go. I didn't remove mine from the car so it was a real pain to get the carrier busings out. If the carrier is already out it shouldn't be very hard to find somebody to help you press out the bushings.
