You should first determine if the existing lighter socket is getting power - if it is not, something is disrupted in the circuit other than the fuse (because you have checked that as good). Simply changing the lighter will not solve a problem if power is not getting to the lighter socket.
Since you don't smoke, consider having it hard wired with the wiring hidden -there's a lot of poop on that on the electronics general forum.

Has the console ever been apart?
If so, perhaps the plug on the back of the lighter plug was not put back on or slipped off during re-assembly.
Hopefully, you have the HELM/FSM to guide you through the disasembly process. If not, try and find it, it's invaluable.
However, generally here's what to do to get to the back of the lighter plug:
1. first place a towel over the radio and lower part of its trim panel (to keep from scratching it).
2 remove the console lid with its hinge (be careful with the wire for the light).
3 remove the 2 screws holding the back of the console down (forward and inside the console compartment, under the lip of material)
4. remove the screw below the forward cup-holder
5. very gently lift the rear slightly and unpug the pop-the-hatch button plug
6. then move it rearward to disconnect the tabs of the console cover from the radio cover
you should then be able to move it around and see the plug behind the lighter.
