Hi I have my first c4 vette a nice 1985 with a glass targa..Here's the pickle, the right headlight goes on but not up, I am a fair backyard mech. Is the motor replacement as easy as it looks??? A few bolts and a harness? Or will I get into a whole adjustment/Alignment thing?
Also I'm stumped. I disconected the batt. and my radio just flat quit working. Lites up, but no stations or response. I have also noticed at the same time the elec. door locks quit working....
Thanks for anything richc82357@yahoo.com
You possibly just have a stripped gear inside your right headlight motor. One of my headlight motors did the same thing and I simply replaced the gear inside and it worked like new.
Electronic door locks not working probably means a replacement in the fuse panel is in order. Somebody else may have a better solution soon.
Could be the gear - but I replaced mine with no luck. Spent 45 on gears while rebuilt cost 100. Ended up spending 145. Check out Zip products on this forum. They give a nice discount, and it is not a hard item to repair/replace.
