I have a '88 coupe and lately there is a lot of squeaking when i go over dips and bumps. The squeak sounds like it is under the car in the front. The shocks are new. Any suggestions on what is could be? Thank you.

I was lucky locating a squeak that was driving me crazy. It was coming from outside....on the left front side somewhere in the area of the corner of the hood and front door. Took me months to finally nail it. Turns out the spring latching mechanism that engages when you close the front hood was squeaking. I fixed it with some silicone lubricant.
No problem since. I am the lucky one because most owners absolutely go batty -out-of their minds trying to find rattles & squeaks.
You didn't say if it was a Z51 car. If so, and if it mainly happens when it is cold outside then I would say it was the sway bar bushings. Both my 85 Z51 and my 88 Z51 did this when it was cold out. They did it from new to when I sold them. You might want to try a Honda's O-ring safe teflon chain oil that is sold in motorcycle shops - it is safe for rubber.
GM used a harder rubber bushing in their Z51 cars.
