Default More Neato Garage Tips!

Here are a couple for ya!

If you are like me and use Nitrile gloves, they sometimes get sticky inside. Many of us use oil dry on our garage floors... What I do is take my hands and rub them in the bag of oil dry. This allows for fast glove changes and less sweaty palms.

Another trick... hand cleaners are evil things for the skin. I have found that shampoo, specifically shampoos for oily hair really do help clean ones hands.

That's it for today!

dawn works well for cutting the wax off your hands after you detail your car. I'm sure it will work well for grease/oil/etc

The thread title worried me for a sec... since I've seen Bogus' garage in person.

I keep a bag of kitty litter handy. The stuff in the jugs with the small granules is the best.

I know there's some dry hand cleaners also... that dry soap you've seen in some public restrooms. I wonder if that'd be useful for quick cleanup of greasy hands? I don't mind dirty hands, but its the slimey grease that makes it less fu.

If you use T-shirts for oily rags you can get double duty from them if you turn them inside out when they get nasty.Good tip when cleaning off intake residue.Thats how I save money for parts.......

I got some nitrite and mechanics gloves but they never seem to get on my hands when I am wrenching on the car gonna have to change that some how.

I use Orange Clean Goop for clean up.At least it smells organic but I still go into the house and use Dawn and a fine bristle brush for the nails.

I use Gojo hand cleaner and have a dispenser on my lawnmover/snowblower rack right beneath my shop towel dispenser. Works great and gojo is not hard on your hands. I go through about 5 pair of mechanix gloves a year for various duties and don't mind paying the $10 a pair as they are easy on the hands and comfortable. My lawnmover/snowblower rack has all sorts of things mounted to it such as my funnel buddies, extension cords, and a top shelf rack for 2 pair of jack stands, extra gas cans, and 2 buckets for old oil and anti-freeze. The rack consists of a place on the floor for my snowblower, the next rack is for my lawnmover in the winter, and the top shelf is for the items listed above. Really cleans up the clutter.
