Default Mice

While checking the oil and coolant today, I saw mouse droppings on the intake manifold again, and down by the overflow reservoir. Never really had a big mouse problem before due to three cats. Two cats have died off and apparently the little Furball(s) knows it.
I am hoping that it or they go home after playing in the vette. I have two other cars in the garage but have not noticed any signs. One is under a car cover.
I put dryer sheets on each floor board because I read on this forum they work. I also read that there is an electric gizmo that drives rodents away. Do they work? I really don't want to put out poison because I don't know where it/they live. Don't want something rotting in one of my cars.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Look for paper and grass on top of the engine... nesting material can catch on fire

I used mousetraps with peanut butter bait on top of each of the four wheels.... That's where they get up.
