New Paint Code
I am hoping someone can help me. I bought a 92 coupe last week I need to get the paint code as the passenger mirror was messed up, and we bought one to replace it from a salvage yard. We need to paint it. My car is a Turquoise color. I can't find a color code on the tags on the door. Does any one know where I can look at color samples from 1992, or can I get the code by using the VIN number?

92 Paint Codes
I looked up the list of OEM colors and found these:
43 Bright Aqua Metallic
80 Quasar Blue Metallic
Look for those numbers. Sounds like you have the Aqua.
If you can't find your RPO codes you might want to contact the National Corvette Museum for a reprint of your build sheet. That will come in handy down the road for info on other items on your car. They also have reprints of your window sticker if you are interested.

The RPO code really won't help you at a paint shop unless they have a GM reference books. One code for a Corvette could be three colors for other GM vehicles.

Thanks I did find the code and it is WA-9796. The body shop says they will have no problem matching my car. I took the mirror that needs painting the code and a photo of my car. Can't wait to see how it turns out
