Make sure they are plugged in. There is a separate weather proof connection for each light. A previous owner may have disconnected them if he was in the habit of leaving the hood opened for extended periods.
Sometimes the previous owner will unplug the lights.
Follow the wires down to the left and right front, to the left and right of the radiator. Should be a plug down there on each side. Make sure it's connected.
Good luck.

There is also a 10 Amp fuse for the under hood lights. It is located under the hood, towards the front in front of the drivers side wheels. It is in a sealed connector.

One thing that I forgot to mention, some folks take out the fuse for when they have the hood up for long periods of time. Like car shows and when working on the car to avoid battery drain. If you can not find the fuse holder, let me know and I'll snap a pic for ya.

They're plugged in and everything.
I thought the fuse in the engine compartment was on later-model C4s. I have an '88

I have no clue what year the person who started this threads car is. That info would be helpful. I have the fuse on my 96. I am not sure what year they started that.
Wow, I might actually be useful here! If the fuse is in and good and the connectors are plugged together then it could be one of two things. I had a guy fix mine at the National NCRS convention in Utah this past July. If you are reading this, thanks again! Since one of you said you pressure washed the engine I am going to guess the same fix for both cars. Water tends to get into the area where the connectors are and corrode the connectors just enough to short them out. Take them apart and thoroughly clean the brass connectors and see if that works. My left one was really bad and I had tried eveything else. If that doesn't work there is a little egg shaped thingie{ whatever ] next to the bulb that can be snapped out and replaced. I only had one light out so I swapped the one from the working light to see if that fixed it and it didn't, so that ruled it out on mine and that is when the I got the help on the corrosion inside. Mine is an 87. Good Luck , I hope this helps. Flyzlow
Just information...The "little egg shape thingie" that flyzlow speaks of is a mercury switch. It is filled with mercury and completes the circuit when tipped as in when hood is open. They dont often fail but corrosion around them does happen.

Thanks for the clarification! I couldn't remember exactly what that thing was. Anyway, your white Vette is beautiful and showcased in front of a beautiful home too. I checked out your website and you have a really cool business. Good luck and have a prosperous new year.

No problem. You should fill out your profile with as much information as you feel comfortable sharing. Your location and year car would be very helpful to us.
If you can't find the fuse that I spoke of, pm me and I'll post a pic.
It's a white Fiero GT. I made that same mistake and asked him once what kind of body hit he had on his vette.
Dude, I swear I was thinking that but didn't wanna say it. It looked too short but I thought is was one of those scrunched up pics. I guess thats why it looks like a Fiero. Because it is. Does the "GT" make it a 2m6? Those little puppies were pretty quick.

You da man Longhorn. That's exactly where it is on my 95. At my first show ZR ONE showed me where the fuse was so that I wouldn't drain the battery
